Spring into action, spring into pleasure

This winter was rough in so many ways; from SAD (seasonal affective disorder), gloomy, rainy days, the political climate, and free time and space seeming like a distant fantasy, the move into spring is warm and welcome. If you are mentally ready for spring but don’t feel like you’re fully there to welcome it with open arms, you are not alone. The shift between seasons can be overwhelming. If you are feeling that way, we are here to help. Here are a few options of things you can do to spring into the new season’s energy. 


Prepare your space

Getting ready for spring isn’t just mental; it’s also physical. If you want to usher in the new season, you have to make space for it, and preparing your home is a great way to do that. Get to spring cleaning and clear out the cold mess of winter. Change the color palette in your bedroom and bathroom to be brighter and more springy to start your day on a positive note. A deep clean also helps to clear out any stagnant energy from the winter and allows for the energy of spring renewal and rebirth. A refresh of your space also helps make you feel more in the mood for pleasure and things that make you happy.


Reconnect with your body

During winter, we layer up and steer towards things that are warm and cozy, which, for some of us, can move us away from feeling or wanting to be sexy (again, fair, it’s cold out there). But as you get closer to spring, the desire to feel sexy again may be creeping back in. If you are unsure where to start with that, we have a few suggestions. You can try out meditation to help you get more attuned to your body and aware of how you are feeling. Taking a nice bath or long shower also does wonders for helping you get more in touch with your body by paying attention to how the water feels as it hits your body. You could also get dressed up in an outfit that feels springy or dress down with some spring-themed lingerie (stop into the store to see what we have available). How you dress can greatly impact your mood and feeling, so throwing in some florals for spring (we know, groundbreaking) or some pops of color can do wonders to have you feeling like you again.


Recharge your mind

Winter is a time of hibernation, and that includes our minds. If you feel like you want to give those cognitive juices a little charge, adding some more books to your TBR (to be read) list can help. You can dive into fiction to get a little more creative, explore non-fiction and informational books to gather some new knowledge for the incoming season, or truly lean into the sexy vibes with some erotic or even erotic affirmations in our book of the month, Sacred Slut Sutras


Spring is a time of renewal and rebirth, and taking advantage of that energy can help you get ready for springtime. As we move out of winter, you may also feel more inclined to connect with people in person.
