What Is This Workshop About:

While our modern understanding of kink and BDSM was pioneered by queer and trans people, these days it's impossible to escape the comp-het and intensely gendered dynamics in popular representation. How do queer and gender diverse people find their place? By making it! Come join Win, a queer kink educator with 8 years of hands on experience to learn the basics of queering your kink.

 

A true Kink 101, this class is designed to give people the tools to begin exploring kink in an informed and consent-focused way! The class consists of a quick run-down on the legality of kink, an introduction to the "Spotlight" system, reviewing a yes/no/maybe checklist, and an open discussion facilitated by an experienced kink practitioner.

Are there any prerequisites to attending this workshop? Is it beginner friendly?

Beginner Friendly! This class is open to everyone, but it is intended for queer and trans people.

What Should Attendees Know?

• Be aware that masking is optional for attendees. The presenter will not be masked when instructing. Please contact the store if you would like to request accomodations. 

• Capacity is limited to 16 participants - Get your tickets now to ensure your space in the class!

• Please be considerate to your fellow workshop goers and keep this a fragrance-free space.

• Our event space is wheelchair accessible but unfortunately the bathroom is not. If you are in need of any accommodation, please let us know.

 

About the facilitator:

A self-described Queer Freak, Win (it/its) has never been interested in normal. An Agender/PreBinary person of mixed Lakota and Romani descent with a broad Kink background, Win brings a different perspective to As You Like It and sex education. It splits its time between As You Like It and its community, and can usually be found in the kitchen, the forest, or wherever there's mischief to be made!

REFUND POLICY 

• Please note, all ticket sales are final.

• There are absolutely no returns for purchase of tickets to an event.

• Rainchecks are available up to two days before the event for a $3 fee per ticket.

 

Note for online ticket sales: In order to prevent ticket fraud, you will need to bring your ID and the credit card used to purchase your tickets to the event and show them to an AYLI employee as part of the check in process. Please arrive 15 minutes early so checking in does not eat into class time. Thanks so much!
