What Is This Workshop About?
Curious about rope but don’t know where to start? This introductory class is designed specifically for the "rope-curious." Whether you want to learn how to tie your partner, be tied yourself, or simply understand the basics, this class is a great way to start.
What You’ll Learn:
• Safety First: Essential kit, nerve awareness, and blood flow checks.
• The Basics of Consent: Navigating communication and boundaries.
• Rope Handling: How to manage your rope to be comfortable your partner and look cool doing it.
• Foundational Ties: Mastering the Single Column Tie.
• Connection & Tension: Learning how to use rope as a tool for intimacy and sensation.
What Should Attendees Know?
• 30 ft. of non-stretchy rope and a pair of safety/EMT shears are required for this class and will available to purchase at the store beforehand. MFP/polyester, jute, and hemp are all acceptable. Cotton rope is banned.
• Be aware that masking is optional for attendees. The presenter will not be masked when instructing. Please contact the store if you would like to request accomodations.
• Capacity is limited to 16 participants - Get your tickets now to ensure your space in the class!
• Please be considerate to your fellow workshop goers and keep this a fragrance-free space.
• Our event space is wheelchair accessible but unfortunately the bathroom is not. If you are in need of any accomodation, please let us know.
About the facilitator:
MxJosiePosie (They/Them) is a queer, gleefully sadistic asshole that has been in the kink community since 2018 and is the host of Spanktuary at Sanctuary Club, a Kink Educator and DM. Josie is a true switch who thrives on mindfucks, predicaments and sadistic rope. They enjoy both sides of the slash for impact, rope, rough body play, and sharp things. Josie graduated from Bondage Soup in 2022 as a bottom, 2023 as a top and is now an instructor for Bondage Soup. They advocate for body positivity and inclusivity in rope and kink communities. Josie believes strongly that all people that want to be in rope belong in rope and seeks to find adaptations to fit for each human they tie.

REFUND POLICY
• Please note, all ticket sales are final.
• There are absolutely no returns for purchase of tickets to an event.
• Rainchecks are available up to two days before the event for a $3 fee per ticket.
Note for online ticket sales: In order to prevent ticket fraud, you will need to bring your ID and the credit card used to purchase your tickets to the event and show them to an AYLI employee as part of the check in process. Please arrive 15 minutes early so checking in does not eat into class time. Thanks so much!
