What Is This Workshop About?
This class will be for family and friends of trans folks. It will be part education and part support, as we learn how to be the best allies we can be for our trans loved ones.
What Should Attendees Know?
⚫ No experience is needed for this group, and all who have trans friends or family members are welcome.
⚫ Masking is optional for attendees. The presenter will not be masked when instructing.
⚫ To ensure a functional and informative group for all, attendance will be limited to 16 people. Be sure to get your tickets early!
Who is Ruth?
Ruth has a BA in Gender Studies with an emphasis in transgender identities. She founded the first support group for trans families in Orange County, CA in 2013 after her daughter came out as trans. Ruth has facilitated gender identity panels for schools, law enforcement, child protective services, and more. She is also an employee of As You Like It Ashland.
